What you need to know about Eagle Boys Menu Revamp
Eagle Boys have recently announced an overhaul of their menu. Find out more in this Q&A with Stacey Thorpe, their Chief Marketing & Sales Officer.
QSR Media: What inspired the new menu?
Stacey: Customer and franchisee feedback inspired Eagle Boys to reinvent its menu, as well as the constant desire to be the leading pizza franchise in Australia through using top quality ingredients to produce great tasting pizzas for the best value.
QSR Media: How will you be promoting the new menu?
Stacey: The menu has been promoted online, in-store point of sale, direct mail, social media channels including Facebook and Twitter and through a media campaign.
QSR Media: Will Eagle Boys still be focusing on the "value" proposition to its customers?
Stacey: Definitely, but we are offering a premium quality pizza, for the same great value. We still have our traditional section and have added to it with the Chicken Hawaiian Pizza. This pizza was previously a promotional pizza and due to great feedback, it’s become a permanent item on the menu. Our BBQ Meatlovers is also still in the traditional value range and with the new ingredient of Italian Sausage and the different cutting process of the bacon, we are confident it is the best compared to similar products offered from other pizza franchises.
QSR Media: What is your expectation of the new menu?
Stacey: The new menu has been shaped by feedback from our customers so we predict a positive response from our customers. We are focused on delivering the utmost quality to customers and can’t wait to hear what they think.
QSR Media: The new preparation methods, tell us a bit more about this?
Stacey: Our new preparation methods are centred around returning to traditional processes using pizza making rings when building a pizza and changing the order of the toppings. We now add the cheese on top which gives the pizza a completely different quality. The cheese acts as a barrier between the toppings and the oven heat and maintains the freshness of the toppings.
We are also using quartered rashes of bacon for the BBQ Meatlovers instead of the more common dicing process to ensure all slices of pizza feature the bacon rashes.
QSR Media: What role, if any, did social media play in the development of the new menu?
Stacey: Social media has become a great channel of communication between our customers and the Eagle Boys network. We are continually listening to feedback via Facebook and constantly receive feedback from customers. We regularly look at ways to improve our products so we can offer the very best to our customers.
