Subway teams up with Disney
The company partnered with Disney Pixar to launch a new and improved kids’ meal, KidsPak, a permanent addition to the menu.
The launch of KidsPak coincides with the release of new Disney Pixar animated film Inside Out, which will hit Australian cinemas on 18th June. For a limited time only, children can choose from six collectable Inside Out messenger bags, free with any KidsPak purchase.
"Subway wanted to partner with a like-minded company that shared our goal of a nutritionally balanced meal for kids," Subway Regional Marketing Director Gina Kahler told QSR Media. "We are excited to be collaborating with Disney, and we hope this relationship encourages families to spend some quality time together and be entertained by Inside Out, and enjoy a meal afterwards at SUBWAY.”
Adding, "Subway is committed to supporting all ages to make positive food choices, something that Disney Pixar also supports."
Kahler said the brand was excited to be launching a new and improved kids’ meal that created better options for the whole family.
“We are proud of the new KidsPak at Subway and that our brand continues to offer a wide variety of ingredients so customers at any age or stage can make choices that fit within a healthy active lifestyle.
“In addition, we are excited to be collaborating with Disney, and we hope this relationship encourages families to spend some quality time together and be entertained by Inside Out, and enjoy a meal afterwards at Subway,” Kahler said.
Jo Bladen, General Manager, Studios, The Walt Disney Company Australia and New Zealand, said, “Disney and Subway have a shared focus on family, and we are excited to team up with SUBWAY on our latest release from Pixar, the highly-anticipated Inside Out.”
“Disney’s family entertainment and the healthier choice KidsPak™ make a perfect pair that we are thrilled to offer Australian consumers.”
The Kidspak contributes to the recommended 2&5 and features a mini sub (with a choice of ham, turkey, roast beef or Veggie Delite), an SPC Fruit Crush containing 99% fruit, and a 350mL Mount Franklin water.
