Jamaica Blue brings a twist to its café food
The brand aims to give Oz the taste of the flavours of the Caribbean.
Jamaica Blue Executive Chef, Danika Heslop told QSR Media that they are looking for new and innovative food options to create unique freshly prepared dishes that held the qualities of Caribbean cuisine.
The brand recently released a new range of Jamaican Street Food dishes that are only available for a limited time.
“While Jamaica has a well-established coffee heritage it also has a vibrant food tradition and we saw this as a fantastic opportunity to bring the rich flavours of the Caribbean to our customers through the development of a range of Jamaican Street Food dishes,” Heslop said.
“The beauty of street food is that it’s interesting, simple and fresh, which ties into our brand’s food philosophy of creating ‘classic dishes with a twist’ and preparing our food fresh on-site.”
“People are really interested in exploring different foods and learning about new ingredients and styles of cooking and we hope that customers will enjoy a culinary escape from the typical grind of everyday life with this exiting range of Jamaican Street Food.”
As a brand, Heslop explained that Jamaica Blue tailors each individual café’s menu to deliver a contemporary food offering suitable for every unique Jamaica Blue site. The Jamaican Street Food range have been designed through this process.
“In the future our food development will continue to be built around providing delicious café-style food ‘with a twist’,” Heslop said.
“The food development team at Jamaica Blue are constantly working on creating new and interesting food options for our customers and we have a number of exciting new developments coming up in this area.”
Following the completion of the Jamaican Street Food promotion, Jamaica Blue will launch Seasonal Menus across all Jamaica Blue cafés in November. The new menus will include the introduction of a variety of exciting new dishes to be prepared fresh in-house at our cafés.
“We also realise the dining experience at Jamaica Blue is about much more than just the food and we are also working on a number of new initiatives covering everything from updating our crockery to offering full table service at selected sites to ensure that we are constantly evolving and delivering the ultimate experience to our customers,” Heslop said.
