Baskin-Robbins cakes up its shakes

The ice cream chain has launched a limited edition line of cake shakes.

Available for a limited time only, Cake Shakes can be made with any one of Baskin-Robbins’ 31 ice cream flavours. Once the flavour is chosen, it’s blended with a vanilla sponge cake and then topped with decadent whipped cream and the guest’s choice of hot chocolate or hot caramel fudge.

According to a Baskin-Robbins spokesperson, "the inspiration was to provide a unique offering to our new and loyal Baskin-Robbins guests, allowing them to have their cake and drink it too, using a combination of any of their favourites from our 31 flavours, blended with real vanilla sponge cake pieces."

Recommended flavours by Baskin-Robbins are Cookies ‘n Cream, Pralines and Cream and Mint Choc.

“We’re proud of our 31 flavour options, and now our guests have the opportunity to have their cake and drink it too,” said David Jordan, General Manager of Baskin-Robbins.

“These new products showcase Baskin-Robbins’ versatility and product range that extends beyond our premium ice cream – including a wide range of different ice-cream based treats that can excite our guests. We’re sure our guests will enjoy trying their favourite Baskin-Robbins’ ice cream flavour combined with a delicious vanilla sponge cake to create the perfect new Cake Shake.”

The Cake Shake line will be available in all stores until 30th April.
