Pizza Hut fans win in 'Sticky Situation' promo
Participants were covered in sticky BBQ sauce and walked away with all the cash they could grab for one minute from a glass box.
Two of Pizza Hut’s fans were given the opportunity to win thousands of dollars, following the company’s ‘Sticky Situation’ Facebook competition, which is part of Pizza Hut’s partnership with Universal Pictures and Bourne Legacy.
Anshuman Sohal from ACT, represented by his wife Francesca, and Ken Oh from NSW took home $4,680 and $3,730 cash respectively, at Wynyard Park on Thursday.
Sohal and Oh were covered in sticky BBQ sauce and sent in to a glass box, with $10,000 inside. They were given one minute each to collect as much money as possible.
The winners were chosen following a competition on Pizza Hut’s Facebook page, whereby fans had to submit a picture of themselves creating or reliving a sticky situation, like the ones Jason Bourne faces in the hit movie series.
The first winner was selected after receiving the most votes on the site, with Pizza Hut choosing the second winner. Both were invited to Wynyard Park in Sydney for their opportunity to collect a share of $10,000.
Meanwhile a third participant, Joe Barrett, was selected at random from the crowd for his chance to win $2,500. He managed to secure $2,320.
“The partnership with Bourne Legacy and Sticky Fingers has really helped to create some excitement around the launch of this product. Sticky Fingers are a customer favourite and the competition was a way to give something back to our loyal fans,” said Pizza Hut’s Head of Marketing & Food Innovation, Anup Jain.
