Eagle Boys Pizza Partners up with Quickflix
Customers can now order their pizza with their mobile or computer whilst downloading a movie.
The six-months partnership will allow customers of the pizza chain to enjoy exclusive special Quickflix one DVD and streaming bundle packages; while Quickflix customers enjoy a special deal from Eagle Boys with each DVD delivered to customers in Eagle Boys catchment areas, with deals also included in regular EDMs.
In addition, Facebook followers of both Quickflix and Eagle Boys will be offered more pizza, DVD and movie streaming deals.
According to Lisa Otterburn, Eagle Boys' National Brand Manager, Quickflix approached Eagle Boys initially as they saw a synergy with the brands both being Aussie owned and run.
"Quickflix have a solid customer database that is expanding rapidly. Their marketing team can provide Eagle Boys with insights as to what their customer wants so that Eagle Boys can target them with some great offers, also, Quickflix communicate to their customers in similar ways to Eagle Boys so there is a synergy there which highlights the way in which our customers are very similar," she emphasised.
The partnership will focus on online and digital mediums for its marketing efforts, "an ever-increasing platform for today’s pizza and movie customers," noted the pizza chain.
Otterburn added, "after the initial chat, we worked together to create a partnership that would benefit both customer groups. Obviously we want to grow our market share but the main goal of the partnership is to add value to our existing customer base and give them something that other pizza providers can’t."
We are seeing significant changes in people’s viewing habits, said Quickflix Chairman and CEO Stephen Langsford. Adding that 30 percent of families watch multiple episodes of their favourite TV shows over the weekend, during peak pizza eating times.
Eagle Boys CEO Bruce Scott said teaming with Quickflix was an excellent opportunity to further Eagle Boys’ brand awareness through engaging Quickflix’s growing customer base as well as to introduce Eagle Boys customers to Quickflix streaming and home delivered entertainment.
“Quickflix has advanced rapidly in the home entertainment market with such a modern take on movie delivery including streaming and digital offerings as well as the DVD postal method,” Scott noted.
“With the developing online opportunities for businesses, we are heavily focused on driving website and social media traffic to give customers what they want, when they want it and in the way that is convenient for them, whether they be on the go with their mobiles or tablets, or at home on desktops.
“We think Eagle Boys and Quickflix are a good fit. At Eagle Boys, we’re all about being there for our local community, making them happy, and most of all, providing delicious, convenient pizza at great value.”
Otterburn and Langsford agreed. Eagle Boys and QFX customers are looking for convenience and both brands offer that, noted Otterburn.
“We’re excited about the partnership between Eagle Boys and Quickflix, which will reward both of our customers while enhancing the two brands,” Langsford said.
“TV and movie streaming is rapidly growing among Australian consumers, as more and more people show a healthy appetite to enjoy their favourite movies and TV shows when, where and how they want it and on any device.”
Customers can expect to see some aggressively priced deals mixed with free items, said Otterburn, "such as the exclusive Dessert Thingie; Eagle Boys dessert pizza which happens to be my favourite item on the menu! Our customers will also be treated to an exclusive monthly price point from Eagle Boys."
