Pizza Hut named exclusive QSR partner of Repco Supercars Championship
The collaboration was done in support of Pizza Hut’s expansion strategy in Australia to double their restaurant count and surpass the 500-store mark in the next four years.
Pizza Hut has signed a sponsorship agreement with Supercars, making the pizza chain the official and exclusive QSR partner of the Repco Supercars Championship.
The partnership will see the pizza chain’s signage on the track map segment of Supercars’ broadcast.
Pizza Hut has also become an official partner of the Dunlop Super2 Series category and will feature as an official partner of the Supercars Eseries with their own entry into the online racing competition later this year.
The collaboration was done in support of Pizza Hut’s expansion strategy in Australia to double their restaurant count and surpass the 500-store mark in the next four years.
“We can’t wait for supporters to enjoy Pizza Hut and more importantly join with us as we expand throughout Australia over [the] coming years,” Pizza Hut Australia chief executive Phil Reed said in an announcement issued by Supercars.
The Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight, happening at Sydney Motorsport Park from March 4 to 6, will serve as the first event under the agreement.
Pizza Hut’s own announcement about the partnership said race car driver Scott Pye will adopt a “Scott Pizza” moniker during the weekend.
A “Scott Pizza Pitstop” will also be introduced for the main race on Saturday, where a discount code will be posted to the chain’s official Instagram account each time the driver pulls up to the pit stop.
The first 250 people to redeem the code via Pizza Hut’s website or app will activate the discount, the brand clarified.
Pizza Hut added that its sponsorship agreement will also entail VIP experiences, Supercars tickets and exclusive merchandise being given away throughout the year, such as meet-and-greets with drivers, grid walks and car rides around selected race tracks.
