Michel's Patisserie wins at the National Retail Association Awards
Michel's Patisserie Toronto bagged the 'Franchisee of the Year' and the 'Supreme Award for Retailer of the Year' at the National Retail Association Awards for Excellence gala awards presentation, held on 14 September 2016.
"It's very humbling to have won in these awards and it's truly an indication of the amazing dedication of our team," said franchise partner Greg Stevens.
"It's even more special when the win has come straight from our peers; it means we're getting the recipe right!"
Located at Toronto Town Square, Michel's Patisserie Toronto has also been nominated as a finalist for the Hunter Local Business Awards in the Bakery Shop category, with the winner to be announced in October.
Michel's Patisserie Director Alicia Atkinson said she's delighted to see this deserving store coming away with so many awards.
"We are so proud of Greg, Annie and their team; their tireless dedication to Michel's Patisserie Toronto and their customers is evident to anyone that visits their store," she said.
"These awards are a huge achievement and truly reflect their hard work and dedication to their store, which exemplifies all the attributes that the Michel's system considers essential to success."
Greg spent 36 years in the banking industry until he decided to start a business of his own in 2012, and his wife and business partner Annie spent 20 years in the IT industry.
"l have always wanted to run my own business and knew owning a café would be something my wife and I could do together," he said.
"As a multi award winning franchise, we're exciting to see what else we can achieve with our store in the future. "
