Bondi Junction barista bags Jamaica Blue Latte Art prize
Gunn Senapol, local barista at the Bondi Junction store, has won the Jamaica Blue Latte Art Competition.
“I get my inspiration from my colleagues and it’s so rewarding seeing how impressed and excited customers are when they receive their coffee with my latte art on top,” she said.
“I really enjoy making images of dragons to celebrate Chinese New Year and reindeer at Christmas time."
Senapol has worked at Jamaica Blue café at Bondi Junction for more than seven years and won against 50 other competitors to take out the winning title and a $500 Visa voucher.
From 50 entries, only six baristas made it to the finals, where they were asked to prepare their latte art for submission to Jamaica Blue’s Facebook run competition. The public voted and Gunn won by a landslide with 619 votes.
