KFC partners with Foodbank on ‘Bridge the hunger divide’ campaign

The campaign aims to raise awareness around the growing problem of hunger in Australia.

KFC is partnering with Foodbank in their ‘Bridge the hunger divide’ campaign. This centres around the construction of a giant sculpture of the Sydney Harbour Bridge made from donated food in a bid to raise awareness around the growing problem of hunger here in our own backyard.

KFC has again partnered with the UN World Food Programme, running their World Hunger Relief campaign for the fifth consecutive year. Thanks to the generosity of KFC employees and local communities across Australia, the company has raised close to $500,000 for the cause.

Foodbank is building a giant sculpture of the Sydney Harbour Bridge made from food donated by 22 of the organisation’s food and grocery industry partners in the shadow of the real Harbour Bridge on UN World Food Day, Sunday 16 October. The public is being asked to come down to The Rocks with food donations of their own to add their support to the awareness-raising event.
