Grill'd Hawthorn launches its new look
The flagship Hawthorn restaurant now displays commissioned works from Australian illustrators as part of The Grill’d Collective.
“We wanted the new-look Grill’d Hawthorn store to have its own individual stamp," said Grill’d Founder Simon Crowe about their restaurant on Glenferrie Road.
He added, "We loved the idea of turning the restaurant into an evolving canvas for young Australian artists to showcase their talents while also creating a fresh, bright new space for our customers to hang out and enjoy their favourite Grill’d burgers.”
The Grill’d Collective will have Grill’d stores displaying artworks created and commissioned especially for the restaurants by Australian artists. For the Hawthorn store, featured illustrators include Chris Wahl, James Jirat Patradoon, Magic Sweater, and Jumbo.
The first Melbourne site to undergo the re-design, the original Grill'd restaurant also now has an improved layout with large tables and a communal area. Permanent outdoor seating has also been introduced while more windows have been created to make the Hawthorn store brighter.
