Ali Baba teams up with OzHarvest

The kebab franchise has become the first major QSR to regularly donate pre-prepared healthy meals to OzHarvest.

According to Ali Baba, it has already provided 6,000 nutritionally balanced meals to OzHarvest in six weeks. The company said it will have donated over 20,000 kilos of fresh food to those in need before the end of 2012.

Dominic Cain, Operations Manager at Ali Baba, said, “We have been inspired by the work OzHarvest do; good food should not go to waste, especially when there are people in our own communities who can benefit.”

Meanwhile OzHarvest Founder and CEO Ronni Kahn commented, “We aim to provide healthy, quality food to our recipients. The variety and fresh meals we collect from Ali Baba will be wonderfully received by those in need.”

Food rescue organisation OzHarvest rescues surplus food which would otherwise be discarded.
