Cafe2U’s role in ACA story
Cromer-Dee Why owner chipped in with time and coffee.
This week, A Current Affair reported the heart-warming story of Daniel Clark, a 17 year old cerebral palsy sufferer and Price of Australia Award winner.
Daniel, who has raised over $700,000 to save the Orangutans needed some help to move around his home and contacted ACA for assistance. They set to work organising the biggest surprise renovation they have ever undertaken with the help of 55 businesses and suppliers. Included amongst those was Michael Dolahenty, owner of Cafe2U Cromer- Dee Why, who chipped in with time and coffees for the workers on site.
"Like all of the suppliers it is something I felt moved to be involved in. It was an incredibly rewarding experience," Mr. Dolahenty said.
“At the moment because Daniel’s home is two stories and he can’t get his wheelchair up the stairs, so this was one project that was absolutely necessary. It is great to know that this project has made a difference to Daniel and his family's lives.”
