Burger Urge welcomes Tom Potter into the family

Original founder of Eagle Boys Pizza and one of the country's top businessman now chair of the burger chain.

According to the chain, six years ago, Burger Urge founders Sean and Colby Carthew approached Potter to mentor them through infancy of building the business, solidifying market loyalty and through the perils of product development.

Through this mentorship, Potter recognised business talent, and a seriously effective business model and product offering.

With this announcement, the burger chain also revealed that it was the mystery buyer of the Urban Burger Burger franchise with 10 stores to be opened by Christmas..

Burger Urge will also open its sixth store on Monday at Salisbury, joining the current five.

The company aims to have 40 Burger Urge outlets by December 2016, including the nine converted from Urban Burger. With this agressive growth, the Carthews are looking to Potter as their guide.
