Shuji Sushi reveals 4 major revamp plans

New menus and media material to be rolled out within the year.

Japanese QSR chain, Shuji Sushi, will be undergoing major changes to further develop their brand, with a new menu to be introduced by the end of this year. The Melbourne-based QSR chain also revealed upcoming plans of expanding nationally.

Below is a Q&A with Eric Li, Director of Shuji Sushi.

QSR Media: What is happening lately at Shuji Sushi?

Li: There are always exciting changes happening at Shuji Sushi. We understand that improvement is a must if we want to stay within the current market to provide better service to our franchisees and customers.

To be on par with the evolving market, Shuji Sushi is currently consolidating and reviewing our current model to be more tailored for today's consumers.

After extensive market research and testing, we have decided on a number of changes such as:

· major upgrades on existing graphics and packaging
· expanding and improving our menu and product choices
· sourcing quality raw ingredients with our buying power
· reviewing our current stores to improve our service

QSR Media: What's special about your product range?

Li: Shuji Sushi always source quality ingredients to make the freshest products. Aside from our authentic chiefs working away behind the scenes, we also take market research feedback seriously to constantly improve our products and service.

We take pride in our current range of products, which have gone through extensive testing before hitting the shelves in our specialty stores.

Shuji Sushi offers a broad range of sushi as well as an extensive hot food menu. Depending on the store location and customer feedback, we are proud to offer a tailor made menu for each store.

QSR Media: What do you look for in a potential franchisee?

Li: We are a close knit family at Shuji Sushi. Success is a common goal that we strive towards and that can only be accomplished through teamwork.

Our potential franchisees must have passion and are looking be involved in the day to day activities at each store.

We love working with our franchisees, fresh ideas are always welcome at Shuji Sushi to improve our stores.

QSR Media: Where do you see growth?

Li: We are always on the lookout for new locations that we can tap into. Aside from expanding our family, we are also solidifying our brand within the existing market.

Currently, all our stores are based in Melbourne and we are still in the process of expansion. Peering further into the future, we have plans to expand nationally and bring our wonderful products to more customers.

QSR Media: What can customers expect from Shuji Sushi by the end of 2013?

Li: We are always improving our service and products. However, by the end of 2013, customers can expect that our new menus are rolled out in all of our stores, a significant upgrade in our media material and there are also plans to refresh a couple of our older stores.

Secrets will be revealed in time, and our customers will just have to be surprised!
