Find out how the US-based Little Caesars is aiming to get a piece of the Australian pizza market
Ernest Koury, director of Little Caesars Australia, spoke to QSR Media about how the American brand plans to take a slice of the Australian pizza market.
Little Caesars Pizza, which began as a restaurant in Garden City, Michigan more than 50 years ago, has been serving its pizza with a focus on quality, value, passion, fun, commitment and family. It aims to offer the best take-home pizza by exceeding customer expectations with good value, great tasting products.
Little Caesars offers its signature Hot-N-Ready pizza using quality ingredients including fresh shredded mozzarella and Muenster cheese, sauce made from farm fresh tomatoes and dough made fresh from scratch every day, in each store.
QSR Media: What's new at Little Caesars?
Ernest Koury: In February of this year we launched our new delivery service which our customers love. To help facilitate that change, we updated the format of our pizza to the Large size from Family size and reduced the prices across the board. We now sell a Large 12” Hot-N-Ready Cheese or Pepperoni pizza for just $5 pickup.
QSR Media: Can you tell us more about your current expansion plans?
Ernest Koury: We are opening three new stores by this December with Parramatta being the first one. We will be unveiling the other two new Sydney locations shortly.
QSR Media: Any other big plans you're excited about?
Ernest Koury: We will be unveiling a new product option shortly after the opening of our Parramatta location as well as new pizza toppings and variations.
QSR Media: Can you tell us more about your engagement strategies? How do you engage with your customers?
Ernest Koury: We are using traditional channels such as print and broadcast coupled with our digital efforts.
QSR Media: Can you tell us about the opportunities you see in the Australian market right now?
Ernest Koury: As far as Little Caesars is concerned, our brand is still very new to the market so the biggest opportunity for us is to grow our number of locations.
QSR Media: What about the challenges?
Ernest Koury: Finding the right locations
QSR Media: Where do you believe your brand will be five years down the line?
Ernest Koury: We would like to see ourselves branched out to multiple markets within Australia with a strong continuing growth plan in place to further develop the brand.
QSR Media: Any other comments?
Ernest Koury: Just come in and grab a Hot-N-Ready pizza today!
