Degani pumps up expansion plans, opens first store in Southeast Queensland
The chain has set itself a goal to open more than 60 stores in the next 12 months.
“The vision for Degani is to grow into the number one franchise enterprise in the country, serving the best coffee within classic environments that complement each individual store’s locale and clientele,” Tanya Kanaris, Degani Franchise Development Manager told QSR Media.
She noted that over the past year Degani has been focused on developing its growth strategy for the next 12 – 24 months, bolstering the management team, identifying potential locations for new cafes and the recruitment of business partners.
The Degani model encourages franchisees to fit-out stores in style with their individual locations, their local communities and the tastes of their owners. Stores vary in size from smaller kiosks and cafes through to chic, spacious restaurants.
Degani has set itself a goal to open more than 60 stores in the next 12 months and is actively recruiting franchise business partners located across Australia, according to Kanaris.
“Retail and hospitality businesses need to work hard for their business as customers have a lot of choice on the street to spend their hard-earned dollars. Despite increasing competition, Degani has grown from strength to strength."
Adding, “with sales of over one million cups of coffee a month, there is no doubt that we have a winning formula when it comes to the Degani business model.” In fact, she shared that the chain processes nine tons of coffee beans each month and serves nearly 12 million cups of coffee each year.
TO CONQUER SOUTHEAST QUEENSLAND
After 16 years of business in Victoria, Degani recently opened its first Southeast Queensland store in Calamvale and Kanaris shared to QSR Media that the location has exceeded the chain's expectation.
“Since opening we have received many enquiries from prospective business partners who have finally been able to catch a glimpse of our offering through our South East Queensland shop front.” She reported that the chain has received around 50 enquiries from prospective franchisees looking to replicate the business model in other parts of the country.
Adding, “the opening of the Degani Café in Calamvale involved a lot of research and behind the scenes investigation to ensure a successful local business. At the same time, Degani has identified the proven, tried and tested methods that have built the success of the Victorian brand and adapted them for the Brisbane store."
“Degani has a reputation of establishing unique shop fronts developed with reference to the needs of the local community and focused on community engagement to ensure products and services remain relevant and are a perfect fit with the clientele."
“Coffee, restaurant-quality, innovative menus and sophistication are at the heart of the new store,” she noted.
