Felicity Ball, National Operations Manager at Pacific Retail Management
On building businesses, innovation and expanding internationally.
QSR Media: What makes you excited about your position?
Felicity Ball: I am very proud to say that we work alongside out partners on the front line every day, helping them build their businesses. I am very excited that we have a growing business that includes international markets and further growth in Australia – this leads to many opportunities for our franchise partners (multi sites) and employees (further career development)
QSR Media: What 3 goals are you focused on?
Ball: Innovation – Sushi is a very strong category at the moment and a lot of competition in the market. We need to have a strong focus on innovation and being first to market.
Training – We already have the Retail Training Group which sees all of our new franchise partners take part in a week long, business focussed, training course. This is an integral part of our new franchise partner training as we want to ensure that our new partners are not only trained in the day to day operations of a store but also how to run their business and be profitable. I would like to expand this training and also include some further online modules.
Technology – My passion is training so anything I can do that can make this accessible, portable and easy to do I will try to implement
QSR Media: What long-term changes are you planning on?
Ball: Building a bigger, stronger training network for our franchisees. Product development that continues showcase our innovation. Expanding our brands into overseas markets
QSR Media: What are your key business philosophies?
Ball: Transparency, Communication & Evolution
QSR Media: What previous positions prepared you for this one and how?
Ball: I was once a franchisee for this very company, starting out as a Kick Juice partner for 5yrs. I feel I have a very strong connection on the ups and downs that a franchise partner may take in their journey with us. I hope to guide them with my experience and build on the systems that make their life as easy as possible. They can then focus on building a profitable business.
