
Muffin Break pledges to raise $500,000 for Good Beginnings
Between Monday 14th and Saturday 20th September 2015, the brand is inviting people to take a break in support of national children’s charity Good Beginnings.
In its fourth year of partnership with the charity, Muffin Break has pledged to raise $500,000 for Good Beginnings by October 2016, with $310,000 already been raised.
Muffin Break Marketing Manager ANZ, Gemma Fitzsimons, said since 2011 the bakery-café franchise is proud to be partnered with Good Beginnings and hopes all customers will open their hearts and wallets to contribute when visiting Muffin Break in-store during the fundraising week and beyond.
“The positive impact Good Beginnings has on the lives of so many Australian families demonstrates the need to raise funds to ensure the programs can continue for years to come,” Fitzsimons said.
“Muffin Break is delighted to be partnered with the charity, and with Good Beginnings week running at Muffin Break bakery cafés throughout Australia from14th-20th September, we call on Australian’s to help us reach our goal of raising half a million dollars by October 2016.”
Funds will be raised via on-counter initiatives at all Muffin Break’s throughout Australia, including donation collection boxes, donated proceeds of Muffin Man plush toy sales ($5) and Good Beginnings cards ($1) on which customers can write heartfelt messages which will be delivered to the children who are part of Good Beginnings programs.
Good Beginnings week is designed to raise much needed funds for the charity to help build better outcomes for children in vulnerable communities.
On top of the donations made in-store by customers, Muffin Break will donate an additional $20,000 to the charity as part of fundraising week.
The brand also announced that the latest Muffin Break Muffin Lab creation, the Red Velvet Butterfly muffin, will be available during September only and throughout the Good Beginnings Fundraising Week. The Red Velvet Butterfly muffin features rich and velvety red muffin, pink cherry drizzle and cream cheese icing topped with fresh strawberry pieces.
