Baskin Robbins raises funds for the McGrath Foundation, colouring its waffle cones pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness this month.
50 cents from every pink waffle cone sale will be donated to the foundation.
Dubbed as the "Raise your cone" campaign, this initiative kicks of the 3-year anniversary of Baskin Robbins' partnership with the McGrath Foundation. To commemorate the partnership, the team arranged a special visit last week from McGrath Ingham Breast Care Nurse, Teresa Clark. Clark visited the newly opened Manly store in Queensland last Friday to scoop ice-cream for the locals and help sell pink waffle cones to raise funds for the charity.
Foundation Ambassador and Director at the McGrath Foundation, Tracy Bevan, is excited Baskin-Robbins has rolled out its “Raise Your Cone” initiative supporting the McGrath Foundation.
“We all love treating ourselves to an ice-cream, so with 31 flavours and fifty cents per pink waffle cone sold, it’s the perfect way for your ice cream to make a difference to those in need. We’re so grateful to Baskin-Robbins and its 80 stores for coming on board to raise money to fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses who support families experiencing breast cancer in Australia,” she noted
To date, Baskin-Robbins has raised more than $72,000 for the McGrath Foundation to help fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia and to increase breast awareness in young Australians.
“As a business, we‘re proud to be supporting such a great charity and worthwhile cause and for the first time we’re creating pink cones, which will also act as a reminder of the importance of breast cancer awareness,” said David Jordan, General Manager for Baskin-Robbins.
“Each and every Baskin-Robbins store will be supporting this offer with a donation for every pink cone sold. The McGrath Foundation is close to our hearts and it would be fantastic to double what we raised last year,” he added.
