You won't believe Rock Paper Scissors' ambitious plans with Ben & Jerry's

They are set to launch more promos and pop-up stores.

Rock Paper Scissors recently announced the arrival of Ben & Jerry’s products on their menu. To kick this off, the brand introduced the "Win a week's worth of Ben & Jerry's" promo on their Facebook page.

 Moreover, they are also set to launch ambitious growth and expansion plans for both Rock Paper Scissors and Ben & Jerry’s.

Below is a Q&A with Tanya Gilchrist, founder of Rock Paper Scissors.

QSR Media: What initiated the partnership between Rock Paper Scissors and Ben & Jerry’s?

Tanya: We’ve been looking for a dessert range to complement our RPS menu and the Ben and Jerry’s packaged products and the strength of the brand and its recognition were what we were looking for. Sometimes things just connect and the timing was perfect with the Queensland manager landing in Townsville not half an hour after our contact. By lunchtime he had visited our stores and agreed that we were a great fit for their brand.

QSR Media: Tell us more about what the partnership will entail and its target goals.

Tanya: It’s the first drive through outlet for Ben and Jerry’s in Australia and possibly the world so we are very excited to be part of a first for such an iconic brand. We are very innovative so we hope it is the first of many milestones in the RPS/Ben and Jerry’s relationship. Hayley and I have ambitious plans for the growth of the Rock Paper Scissors brand this ties in well with the expansion plans for Ben and Jerry’s in Australia.

We are very active promoters of our Rock Paper Scissors brand and we will be extending this to Ben and Jerry’s so our customers can expect some great promos soon kicking off with a “win a week of Ben and Jerry’s” through the RPS facebook page . 

QSR Media: What key business philosophies do both companies share and value?

Tanya: There is a certain nostalgia associated with the traditions of both fish and chips and ice-cream and both brands have a real contemporary gourmet edge so we are a great fit for each other.

On a deeper level, we share the philosophies of sustainability and environmental respect in our business practices and choices.

QSR Media: What else can customers look forward to from the partnership with Ben & Jerry’s?

Tanya: Total indulgence! Imagine sharing a mars indulgence topped with triple caramel chunk.

QSR Media: Any other comments?

Tanya: Customers should also look out for the RPS pop-up stores at major events and sporting circuit events.
