Soul Origin to trial a new signature shop fit in the coming months

Soul Origin says they're currently focused on increasing their digital presence, as well as making a move to expand in Western Australia.

QSR Media: What's new at Soul Origin?

It’s been an exciting year for Soul Origin. In FYE2017 alone we had already opened 30 new stores, expanding from NSW into the ACT, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia – bringing the total number of Soul Origin locations to over 80 stores. Soul Origin was recently named 2017 Franchise Council Australia’s Emerging Franchisor of the Year! Celebrating this achievement with the network has been fantastic. Without our talented, hardworking team and franchise partners this award win, along with other successes would not have been possible.

The team at our support centre are second to none and continually go above and beyond to nurture and grow the Soul Origin brand. Our franchise partners love Soul Origin as much as we do and their ongoing hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence does us proud every day.

QSR Media: Tell us more about the planned expansion to Western Australia. What opportunities do you see in this area?

Soul Origin is thrilled to be expanding into the West Coast of Australia with our first store opening in Perth very soon. There is very strong appetite for our fresh, nutritious and convenient selection of food right across the country and we are confident Soul Origin will thrive in this state. This is an exciting time and it’s just the beginning for the Soul Origin brand. We know we have a system and product offering that will succeed anywhere. We have an exceptional team of staff and franchise partners that are not only hardworking and dedicated but also connect with and believe in Soul Origin’s core values and objectives.

We know more people want to eat fresh, nutritious food more often and we are providing a solution - easy access to fresh fast food. We look forward to bringing Soul Origin to more locations and helping more people eat mindfully everyday.

QSR Media: How does the brand stay ahead of the competition given the overall retail market situation at present?

Soul Origin prides itself on providing quality espresso coffee and the freshest, most convenient and delicious breakfast and lunch items for our customers. The Soul Origin point of difference is we care. Soul Origin’s values of relationships, integrity and commitment to delivering the absolute best to our customers has been integral in the success of our business and will continue to drive our business in the future.

All of Soul Origin’s food is made fresh on site daily, we have pride in using the best quality and most sustainable products and we are helping our customers eat mindfully every day. Above all else we have a fantastic network of franchise partners and support staff who all love and believe in the Soul Origin brand. We are focused on continually supporting our staff and franchise partners with tailored training and support to help them optimise their success, help grow the Soul Origin brand and continue to exceed customer expectations.

QSR Media: What do you want to tell the market about the direction of your brand?

Soul Origin is on a mission. We want to give more people access to fresh and great tasting fast food and make it easy for customers to eat mindfully every day. Our food is made fresh onsite and we are focused on not only making it nutritious but also convenient and quick for our customers.

With more people wanting to eat fresh fast food on a regular basis Soul Origin is excited to be expanding to more locations. There’s incredible appetite for our food and coffee and we want to make it available to more people. At Soul Origin, we encourage a balanced lifestyle where our customers can enjoy a fresh, nutritious salad for lunch and treat themselves to a delicious brownie or raw treat in the afternoon. We are excited to be finessing our selection of breakfast and lunch options and offering even more choices for all dietary preferences.

QSR Media: Any big plans for the year?

Since opening its first store in 2011, Soul Origin has experienced exponential growth and with growing demand for Soul Origin’s products there’s no sign of this slowing down. We are currently focused on increasing our digital presence, expanding into Western Australia and in coming months we are trialling a new signature shop fit at our Greenhills. We are also pleased to be launching a loyalty program for our customers. Next year will be an even bigger year for Soul Origin. There are some exciting things to come and we look forward to continuing to grow the Soul Origin brand and helping more Australians eat mindfully everyday.
