Letterbox Deals help QSRs make a pitch to the right audience

Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) offers delivered via Australia post.

Jamie Bakewell, Director at Letterbox Deals, explained that the service is basically a series of nationwide catalogues that are delivered to 5.2 million metro and regional homes each bi-monthly cycle. The total per annum is around 32 million homes.

"What makes our media unique is that we are committed to premium Australia Post delivery, despite the additional cost, as we seek to maximise the response for our advertising clients."

Using Australian Post is an important part of the service, he emphasised. Using the service, according to Bakewell, means that the catalogue is accurately delivered with the regular mail during the week. This also means it is not rolled up and lost in a bunch of large retail catalogues delivered on the weekend, standing out amongst regular mail.

Aside from its aggregated catalogue media, the company is also working directly with a number of QSR franchises in the print and distribution of their respective flyers.

"After testing, we are big fans of the reliability, accuracy and response that Australia Post distribution provides and we are in the fortunate position to be one their largest unaddressed mail media customers. Given our positive experience and relationship, it therefore makes sense for us to be pushing the Australia Post offering to advertisers looking for a premium letterbox advertising solution."

Letterbox Deals also offer a range of online options to our advertisers including digital couponing, digital newsletter and even phone verified online leads. Presently, the database for its online options is over 120,000 opt in members that is claimed to reach millions using company partners.

Readers are middle Australia, based on a study by the company. Over 50% of the readers earn more than $50,000 and 64% are aged between 25-54, with a further 25% aged over 55. They are married, have a couple of kids, are house-proud and are on the lookout for value

Presently, Domino's is one of Letterbox Deals' largest ongoing advertisers, other QSR advertisers who regularly appear include Subway, Oporto, Baskin Robbins, Chicken Treat, Mrs. Fields, Cheesecake Shop among others over the years.

"[Domino's has] advertised non-stop with Letterbox Deals since our second issue (April 2009)... and we deliver constantly excellent ROI results for them. [On the other hand], whilst it is a fledgling offer, we are already delivering promising ROI results for Bakers Delight, Grill'd, Taco Bill and Trampoline Gelato franchisees who have been among the first of our clients to trial Australia Post for the delivery of their flyers," said Bakewell.

Letterbox Deals have received awards from Smart Start Up Awards, BRW Fast Starters and BRW Fast 100.
