KFC's drive-thru-only concept comes to South Australia

The outlet also features a walk-up kiosk for customers coming in without vehicles.

After introducing its drive-thru-only outlet in NSW last November, KFC has installed a second tech-powered concept in South Australia.

The franchised drive-thru-only concept in Mt. Gambier features two online pick-up lanes and two traditional order lanes. It also has a walk-up kiosk for customers coming in without vehicles.

Customers just need to enter their orders and pay via the KFC app or through the brand’s website before arriving at the drive-thru-only outlet.

KFC unveiled the world’s first drive-thru-only concept in Newcastle with a $1.5 million investment.

No ad standard breach found
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the chicken giant told QSR Media that the Ad Standards has found no breach in advertising standards in their latest promo ad.

KFC’s Zinger Popcorn Box ad, released on New Year’s Eve last year, has garnered criticism due to its alleged “sexist” portrayal of the woman featured in the promo material.
