Brunch is the fastest growing daypart across QSRs: NPD Group

And baked goods and burgers servings surged faster than any other foodservice product categories.

Key findings from the latest research of The NPD Group titled Australia Foodservice: Industry Bright Spots found that the 2% increase of consumer spending in 2017 led to a boost in both visits and average cheque.

Some of the bright spots mentioned in the research showed that deal-led occasions are up by 8% and at their fastest pace since 2012 as more consumers seek value for their money.

Moreover, 70 million more visits by families with kids under the age of 14 are growing at their fastest rate in five years and brunch is the fastest growing daypart with 12% increase across QSR, FSR, and retail.
