Pie Face takes home 19 medals in National Pie Awards
Cheese and Bacon Roll helped them win gold medals.
Pie Face received almost 20 medals from the 33rd Official Great Aussie Pie Competition, with newly launched Cheese and Bacon Roll as menu items that helped them receive gold medals.
This is the second year that the QSR brand received many awards for their pies and rolls.
Pie Face’s pies and rolls are handcrafted from scratch using only premium, quality ingredients, and baked until they’re golden brown throughout the day in every location.
Included in the Pie Face range are Chunky Steak, Chicken and Mushroom and Steak Bacon and Cheese. Butter Chicken and Tandoori Vegetable are also its famous flavours, along with vegetarian and vegan options.
Pie Face CEO Bruce Feodoroff said their pies are made of premium and quality ingredients.
“Our mouth-watering pies and rolls are Aussie owned and made using premium, quality ingredients such as free-range chicken and the most premium-grade meat we can source, and are freshly baked every day, in every location, making them the tastiest and freshest choice for Australian pie connoisseurs,” he said.
The Official Great Aussie Meat Pie Competition was put up in 1989, and entrants, who send in four samples of each pie to be judged, are evaluated on the appearance of the pie, the quality and flavour of the filling, and the quality of the pastry. Each pie undergoes a blind taste test, and is tried by two or three judges.
The judging panel is composed of industry representatives, qualified bakers, and pastry chefs.
