Menulog, Hungry Jack's roll out ‘90s-inspired ‘Burger Bus'

The food delivery platform says burgers are a national favourite after 9pm.

A ‘90s-inspired Burger Bus will deliver hundreds of free Whoppers to late-night spots and venues across Sydney, courtesy of Menulog and Hungry Jack’s.

In an announcement, the food delivery company says burgers are one of the most popular foods to have delivered late-night, with the ‘Whopper® with Cheese’ topping the list for Hungry Jack’s snacks ordered after 9pm in their platform.

Launched to celebrate Menulog’s extended delivery hours until 2am, the Burger Bus is scheduled to show up in the following areas:

  • Friday 4 October 2019 - Moore Park, Chippendale, Newtown
  • Saturday 5 October 2019 - Moore Park, Darlinghurst, Centennial Park
  • Sunday 6 October 2019 - Darlinghurst, Sydney CBD, Redfern

Apart from the Whoppers, the bus will feature all-singing, all-dancing Burger Boys who will giveaway delivery vouchers.

Whilst burgers are a late-night favourite, Menulog says top options vary from state to state.

In broader NSW, one of the top choices late-night is ice cream from Cold Rock Icecreamery in Rutherford. In Victoria, locals opt for European Style Meat and Chips pack from Turkish restaurant Sip N Bite Kebabs.

In Queensland, the Bacon Deluxe Hunger Tamers from Hungry Jack’s Herston topped the order list whilst Chicken Nuggets from Hungry Jack’s Belconnen won in Canberra.

In South Australia, Chicken Schnitzel from Hansen Pizza and Pasta Bar is crowd favourite while Special Fried Rice from Hong Kong Restaurant takes the prize in the Northern Territory.

In Tasmania, customers prefer a late-night order of Butter Chicken from Charcoal Fire Indian Restaurant whilst a brioche bun with Angus beef from Big Bite Burgers is most popular in Perth.
