Krispy Kreme delivers over 20,000 heart-shaped doughnuts during Valentine's Day
They surpassed their previous delivery record by 21%.
Krispy Kreme announced that they delivered over 20,000 heart-shaped doughnuts on Valentine's Day, recording their biggest day of deliveries ever in Australia.
Their ‘Say I Love You” campaign launched with two limited-edition heart shaped doughnuts, a strawberry and creme heart doughnut and a chocolate heart doughnut.
This was coupled with their Love Message Maker feature, developed by Sydney-based agency The Monkeys where customers can provide customised doughnut-themed messages that can be shared in social media or be included in an online order.
“The campaign has been an incredible success, we beat our last February online sales by 60% which we believe largely occurred due to consumers looking for an affordable light hearted option for Valentines Day," Krispy Kreme eCommerce Manager Amber Brousek said.
"I think there’s been a cultural shift with Valentine’s Day in the past few years, it’s now a day about celebrating all the people you love rather than just your significant other. This is certainly something we saw reflected in our orders this year with so many loving messages being sent to friends, siblings, co-workers and even grandparents.”
