Healthier menu options boosts Gami Chicken sales by 172%

The brand is planning to further expand its menu by mid-2024.

Korean casual restaurant Gami Chicken saw its sales grow by 172% from June 2023 to December 2023, attributing the increase to its healthier individual menu items.

While each restaurant serves high-quality traditional Korean family recipes mixed with a dash of Melbourne Laneway culture, these menu items were skewed towards traditional Korean fried chicken favourites designed to be shared with friends over ice-cold beers.

“Gami Chicken has gradually introduced individual menu items such as Bibimbap, Kkochi Salad, Gochujang Chicken, and a Gami Bowl to the menu, providing guests with a healthier, wider taste of Korea. Some of our individual menu choices offer healthier alternatives, without moving too far away from our Korean influences,” said Jun Lee, Executive Director of Gami Chicken and Beer.

Total sales of Gami Chicken’s individual bargain delights menu items have increased 152% from June 2023 to December 2023.

According to Gami Chicken, it plans to showcase a new menu update before the middle of the year to focus on healthier options

Since launching in Melbourne in 2006, Gami Chicken has launched 38 casual dining restaurants across Australia. The company will be opening their 39th restaurant in Oran Park in western Sydney in late January.
