In Australia, digital channels, which include commentary app, web, and delivery, represented 40% of network sales in H1 FY2024 (app and web: 17%, delivery: 23%). 52% of drive-thru restaurant sales were transacted in drive-thru lanes.

GYG opened 14 new restaurants in FY2024 year-to-date with an additional 12 restaurants in the pipeline. The group said it is targeting 30 to 40 restaurant openings per annum over the long term.

“As we pass over 18 years of operation, our half-year results reflect the strength of the GYG brand and business both locally and abroad. Our performance remained strong, underpinned by double-digit comparable sales growth across our businesses in Australia and overseas. The Group also benefited from the addition of 16 new restaurants globally in H1 2024, particularly restaurants with drive-thrus where we are building a market leading position,” GYG Founder and Co-CEO Steven Marks
