7-Eleven to change coffee prices for the first time since 2009
The cost of a regular cup will be increased to $2.
Amidst rising cost of living, 7-Eleven announced that it will raise the prices of its coffee for the first time in 13 years.
Starting 4 October, the convenience store’s regular coffee will be valued at $2.
The price of large coffee will be raised to $3 and super cups and will be up to $3.50.
For those who will bring a reusable cup, there will be a 50% discount for customers.
The revision of prices stemmed from sustained cost increases in the past 12 months, which led to existing prices being unsustainable.
Reacting to this, 7-Eleven CEO and Managing Director Angus McKay, said they will continue to provide customers with products of great value and great quality whilst ensuring the prices are sustainable for their suppliers, communities, and staff.
“Although this is the first price change in more than a decade, a single $2 gold coin for a regular coffee remains among the best value offers in the industry,” McKay added.
McKay also said they are still pushing for sustainable initiatives for its coffee and packaging.
