Muzz Buzz enters UK market

Due to enter the UK market.

Muzz Buzz, the drive thru coffee franchise founded in Perth in 2004, has just announced that it has signed a master franchise agreement with a joint venture company for the UK market.

The agreement will cover both the drive-thru’s themselves and the development of warehousing, distribution and manufacturing support facilities.

As Muzz Buzz Franchising’s Executive Director Warren Reynolds says “We’re very excited to be launching the Muzz Buzz brand in the UK, which we see as a major milestone in the globalisation of the Muzz Buzz brand... Muzz Buzz is reaching critical mass in some parts of the Australian market. We need to look overseas to maintain... growth and development of our brand”. Indeed it seems that the company’s ambitions do not end at the UK, with plans to expand into Europe, North America and Asia.

The Brits, traditional tea drinkers, have taken to coffee in recent years with large chains such as Starbucks, Costa Coffee and Caffe Nero dominating the market. Drive thru’s have hitherto not been a feature of the market though it seems Muzz Buzz’s timing is right, with Starbuck’s and others seeing their potential.
