Uber Eats and Manoosh Pizzeria: A recipe for success

Since Manoosh partnered with Uber Eats, they have not looked back.

Food delivery has come a long way since the days of phoning up the local pizza shop. With the advent of Online Food Delivery, there is now a whole world of cuisine at a customer's fingertips. And, following the impacts of the pandemic, delivery became the preferred option for many customers looking for a hassle-free meal.

Manoosh Pizzeria in Sydney is one such business that has capitalised on this delivery trend. Thanks to their use of technology, they have been able to not only expand their offerings but also reach a wider customer base.

By partnering with Uber Eats, they have been able to make their pizzas available to a whole new market. And, with the ability to track orders and manage deliveries through the app, they have been able to take the hassle out of food delivery.

Partnering with Uber Eats

Manoosh is an award-winning pizzeria known for being founded on the traditional foods of Lebanon, with Lebanese-inspired flavours - using ingredients commonly found in Middle Eastern cooking—zaatar, haloumi, olives, pickles, hommus, labneh.

Having built up a strong customer base and reputation in the local area, Manoosh decided to partner with Uber Eats to help them expand their reach, which currently lists twelve locations on its delivery-service app.

Founder Charlie Hoyek described Manoosh's Uber Eats experience, "It's very easy to get set up with Uber Eats. All the orders flow through automatically. Once it's all set up properly, it just runs like clockwork."

With Uber Eats, customers can either opt to get their food delivered or can come to the store to pick it up. Hoyek said that the pizzeria has seen an above 20% increase in sales since partnering with Uber Eats. He added, "It's really been good for us because it’s a lot easier for people to get our pizza and they don't have to wait."

Moreover, the Uber Eats Manager platform provides oversight of the business with daily sales and weekly reporting accessible in one portal. These features help businesses expand their reach and increase their sales and order volumes.

The Uber Eats Impact

Charlie Hoyek shared, "At first, we were skeptical about partnering up with Uber Eats as we were comfortable with our then-current position in the marketplace. Our sales increased above 20% within the first week of joining which was massive."

Since Manoosh Pizzeria joined the Uber Eats platform, they have not looked back. "Their technology is always up to date and definitely aligns with ours. Uber Eats has helped us reach new customers along the journey, and expand our reach faster," he further added.

The Importance of Delivery in QSR

So, how important is delivery to the QSR today? Charlie Hoyek believes it is very important as delivery has become the "new norm" between and after COVID-19.

"We will always dine-in or take out, but statistics tell us what outweighs the rest. Lots of us are time-poor, and we have gotten used to our food being delivered purely for time and convenience," he pointed out.

Manoosh thoroughly enjoys being an active partner, and it shows in their work. They are a win-win scenario for all three parties involved: Manoosh Pizzeria, Uber Eats, and their customers.
