Pizza Hut integrates App Clips to boost ordering experience

App Clips allow users to use specific features without having to download the full app.

Pizza Hut has integrated App Clips to their app, part of a growing list of tech integrations by the chain to enhance its customer experience.

Introduced by Apple in 2020 as part of their iOS 14, App Clips allow users to use specific features without having to download the full app.

Each App Clip encodes a URL and can also incorporate an NFC tag, allowing it to be scanned with an iPhone camera or tapped to be opened.

“The App Clip code will begin appearing on our advertising everywhere making it easier for more Australians to scan and share good times,” Pizza Hut Australia chief marketing officer Chet Patel said in a LinkedIn post.
