Below is a Q&A with Drew Eide, National Brand Manager of Jamaica Blue.

QSR Media: What inspired Jamaica Blue to venture into a co-branding deal with Lindt?

Eide: A number of factors including a shared focus on premium product and brand qualities and the continued evolution of the Jamaica Blue product offering to meet the demand of our customers.

Just like coffee and chocolate, the partnership between Jamaica Blue and Lindt is simply a match made in heaven… it’s the ultimate alignment of master roaster and master chocolatier and we’re thrilled to be offering our customers the decadent new product range in-time for the festive season.

QSR Media: What do you think are the benefits of this strategy for your brand?

Eide: Lindt – like Jamaica Blue – is renowned for its premium product offering and our partnership means a greater selection of freshly-made and decadent dessert options for our customers, which is likely to mean an increased average spend in our cafés.

QSR Media: How do you think this latest partnership will impact the revenue stream of both brands?

Eide: All Jamaica Blue cafés across Australia and New Zealand will serve the Lindt products creating economies of scale across our network.

Also, the partnership will give Lindt an opportunity to reach more consumers with the experience of enjoying premium quality chocolate and provide Jamaica Blue with increased sales during the promotional period

QSR Media: Any other comments?

Eide: We’ve deliberately timed the partnership to coincide with the festive season as well as to coincide with our new-look summer menu. It’s an exciting time for Jamaica Blue!!
