First limited time product launch of the year is southern cajun chicken.
Eagle Boys’, the regional pizza chain, today launched oven-baked southern style cajun chicken as its first limited time offer of the year.
The chicken, which comes in either a four pack of tenderloin, or drums, will be available until April 27.
It seems that the development is as much about taste as it is about calories. As National Marketing Manager Ellen Gault explains “the tenderloins and drums are extremely tasty and I know through offering these items, we are reaching more people who want something to complement their favourite pizza offers, or are craving a lighter option... It is becoming increasingly important to offer more choices when it comes to nutrition...The chicken is baked on wire racks, introduced into our stores especially for this product to ensure the chicken is tender and lean...A crisp garden salad coupled with two Cajun Chicken Tenderloins comes in at 813 kilojoules”.
The chicken will cost from $2.50 for tenderloins added to a salad to $5.95 or more as a side.
