Eagle Boys serves up Australia’s first profiterole pizza

Profiterizza already accounts for half of all of Eagle Boys' dessert sales despite being launched only four weeks ago.

Australians’ desire for decadent desserts is on the rise with the nation’s first profiterole pizza, Profiterizza, now accounting for half of all of Eagle Boys Pizza’s dessert sales, despite being launched only four weeks ago.

At the same time, the menu innovation has helped Eagle Boys grow its overall dessert sales.

Eagle Boys CEO Todd Clayton said the success of Profiterizza demonstrated how pizza lovers were looking for a pizza maker who offered a complete dinner menu with side and desserts items to share with family.

“At Eagle Boys we’ve focused on developing a real taste menu made from fresh and flavoursome ingredient combinations. We also know our customers are always looking for something different and indulgent to satisfy their tastebuds,” he said.

“The lure of Profiterizza’s delectable infusion of Bavarian custard, strawberries, chocolate fudge and patisserie crème filled profiteroles has certainly resonated among chocoholics and dessert lovers nationwide.

“Helping to spur dessert sales has been our successful campaign to get pizza lovers to taste Profiterizza for free. Through our recent “Late Night” offer, customers have received a free Profiterizza when they ordered their pizza online after 8pm. We’ve found once customers taste the Profiterizza, they come back for more.”

Mr Clayton said the Profiterizza built on Eagle Boys’ success in the dessert stakes, with the pizza maker’s Dessert Thingies still proving a hit among Australian pizza lovers.

“We’ve long known Australians have a sweet tooth. Their craving for delectable desserts triggering Eagle Boys Dessert Thingies to double in sales, year on year since launching,” he said.

“And with the recent success of the Profiterizza, Eagle Boys is serious about growing and catering to this category. The Profiterizza is just a taste of what’s to come as Eagle Boys continues to set industry trends, striving to deliver an innovative menu catering to every tastebud and budget.”
