Domino’s offers tastier and healthier options

It has launched three new product innovations which offer customers tastier toppings and lower fat.

Domino’s new product development is set to go into overdrive in 2012 and to kick start the year the Company has launched three exciting new product innovations which offer customers tastier toppings and lower fat.

From today Domino’s will use tastier mozzarella cheese across its menu which has 30% less fat than 12 months ago while its pepperoni has 34% less fat.

To celebrate the new ingredients Domino’s Head Development Chef Stefaan Codron has developed two twists on old favourites in the new Cheesier Pepperoni and Prawn Supreme pizzas.

The Cheesier Pepperoni offers more 30% less fat mozzarella cheese than the traditional Toni Pepperoni while the Prawn Supreme tantalises the tastebuds with juicy prawns, sweet late harvest pineapple and tastier 30% less fat mozzarella.

Domino’s CEO and MD Don Meij said the Company’s focus on making tastier products better was a win for the customer.

“Tasty doesn’t have to mean high fat, nor does low fat have to be bland. We have proven this in the development of our 30% lower fat mozzarella and 34% lower fat pepperoni,” Don said.

“Both of these new ingredients taste far better than they did 12 months ago and the added benefit is they are better for you too.

“I’m excited about our product development this year and I know our customers will be amazed by some of the new menu items coming soon.”

In addition to the launch of Cheesier Pepperoni and Prawn Supreme, Domino’s has also launched Chicken Ribs as a new side on the menu.

These succulent Chicken Ribs are mildly spiced smokey peri peri seasoning, are freshly baked not fried and come in packs of four or eight.
