Cold Rock to offer cookie dough mix-ins
Charlie’s Cookies will supply Cold Rock stores with around 50,000kg of cookie dough each year.
Cold Rock Ice Creamery is offering new cookie dough mix-ins after striking a new partnership with Melbourne-based cookie producer Charlie’s Cookies.
Charlie’s Cookies will supply Cold Rock stores with around 50,000kg of cookie dough each year in two flavours - rainbow choc chip and standard choc chip.
“Cookie dough is one of Cold Rock’s most popular mix ins and now our offering is better than ever,” Cold Rock managing director Stan Gordon said.
“Charlie’s is an Australian-owned company and a growing brand which is renowned for their delectable gourmet treats. This partnership means our franchisees no longer have to make cooking dough in store, and our customers have access to the best tasting, gourmet cookie dough around.”
Husband-and-wife team Ken Mahlab and Jacky Magid, who own Charlie’s Cookies, said they were delighted to be the new cookie dough supplier for Cold Rock.
“We are thrilled to be working with a major ice cream retailer and to further show off our new cookie dough products nationwide,” Mr Mahlab said.
The Cold Rock – Charlie’s Cookies partnership began with a fortuitous meeting in a car park between Mr Gordon and Mr Mahlab.
“Stan was eyeing up my Smart Car and I offered to swap my car for Stan's, a far more luxurious vehicle,” Mr Mahlab said. “A conversation ensued and the rest is history. We look forward to a long and happy partnership with Cold Rock.”
Established in 1995 and based in East Bentleigh, Charlie’s produces cookies for retail and food service customers across Australia including Woolworths and Thomas Dux. The company also supplies snacks on domestic Qantas flights.
