Pizza Capers dishes out new gourmet toppings
The pizza chain has unveiled a new pizza for pulled pork lovers, as well as two new gourmet ones inspired by traditional Italian flavours.
The (pulled) Porknado unveiled by Pizza Capers is topped with tender pulled pork, crispy rashers of bacon, smoke cured pepperoni, onion, garlic and mozzarella on a smokey BBQ sauce base.
Pizza Capers General Manager Yvette Shearer said The (pulled) Pornado marked the next evolution of Australian gourmet pizza.
“At Pizza Capers, we’re not only focused on extending our pizza range, but also extending flavour to the next level with exciting pizza flavours made from fresh, gourmet ingredients,” she said.
“Pizza lovers have told us they’re tired of competitors’ cheap cardboard pizzas, which is why we devote time in our pizza development to creating amazing new pizzas that are tasty, satisfying and generous in toppings. Australians have developed a hankering for the tender taste and texture of pulled pork and our Porknado means they don’t have to be a master chef to enjoy it in their own homes."
“It’s time to ditch disappointing pizzas and enjoy toppings that are doubly delicious as regular fast food pizzas. With The (pulled) Porknado, pizza lovers can unleash a whirlwind of flavour!” she added.
Pizza Capers has also unveiled two new gourmet pizzas inspired by traditional Italian antipasto flavours: The Ultimate Vegetarian Antipasto and Chorizo Antipasto.
All three pizzas are available for a limited time at any of the 110 Pizza Capers stores across Australia.
