The brand relaunched its Original Chilli Sauce across its more than 140 restaurants across Australia.
The Original Chilli Sauce is a spicy and citrusy blend of fresh chilli, fresh garlic, fresh ginger, fresh lemon and canola oil and prepared with fresh, natural produce.
"I was proud to see so many Australians enjoy my chilli sauce, really going crazy about chilli, I called it the chilli revolution in Australia land. When I started you never find any takeaway or restaurants selling chilli except Chinese restaurants, now so many people enjoy eating my fresh chilli sauce every day.” Antonio Cerqueira, Oporto Founder, said.
According to the company, in the US millennials are leading the chilli charge and adding more and more spice to their meals with 75% saying they want to experience more flavours at restaurants, while 62% describe themselves as “adventurous eaters.” Menus that allow customers to explore new and different flavours are sought after.
As Oporto approaches its 30th year, the brand announced that it is undergoing a makeover with many restaurants undergoing renovations; staff sporting new uniforms; and a national loyalty program launching.
