Motto Motto unveils new Japanese and Chinese fusion ramen

The new menu is a winter-exclusive item.

Japanese fast-food restaurant Motto Motto is fusing Japan's favourite ramen and China’s famous Malatang to become their latest innovation, Malatang Ramen.

Malatang, derived from the Mandarin words "ma" (numbing), "la" (spicy), and "tang" (hot), encapsulates the three sensory experiences in this classic flavour and is set to ignite and delight Australian foodies.

This unique fusion brings together traditional tonkotsu (pork bone broth), known for its rich and velvety texture, with traditional malatang flavours, and Motto’s fresh ramen noodles to create a harmonious mix of numbing spiciness, savoury notes, and subtle sweetness.

Motto Motto’s Malatang Ramen is made up of a tender pork belly chashu, marinated ramen egg, crispy deep-fried soft tofu, and completed with an assortment of fresh local ingredients, such as bean sprouts, black fungi, lotus root, bamboo, and fresh shallots, offering a harmonious blend of textures and flavours.

The new menu is available on 7 June in all Motto Motto outlets in Australia for a limited time only.
