Mad Mex unveils new Mexican street food inspired LTO
The new menu item will be a healthier version of the Mexican favourite.
Mexican restaurant chain, Mad Mex, has announced the launch of the new Chicken Al Pastor, inspired by Mexican street food.
Traditionally made with pork and grilled on a spinning rotisserie with a pineapple sitting atop, Mad Mex has put its unique spin on the classic by combining freshly grilled chicken with an authentic Al Pastor marinade and juicy pineapple.
Packed full of protein, the dish can be served with any of Mad Mex’s menu items whether that be their burrito, naked burrito, quesadilla, nachos or taco.
According to founder and managing director Clovis Young, the new menu is part of the brand’s strategy to cater to health-conscious consumers as they lead into summer.
This is the second new product launch the brand has seen in the past few months which is part of the brand’s new strategy as they target to grow to 100 restaurants by 2026. Mad Mex currently has 70 restaurants nationwide.
“Australians have embraced Mexican cuisine but there is a desire for more traditional and authentic flavours than what is broadly available in the market. The launch of Chicken Al Pastor is our second new product launch in the past few months which boasts classic, traditional Mexican ingredients so customers can taste a more authentic product at any of our 66 locations,” Young said.
The new Chicken Al Pastor will be available for a limited time only.
