Huxtaburger joins plant-based trend with new “Alternative Burger”

The new item was done in collaboration with The Alternative Meat Co and fitness trainer Luke Zocchi.

Looking to get a bigger share of the plant-based eating crowd, Huxtaburger has teamed up with The Alternative Meat Co. and fitness trainer Luke Zocchi to launch the Alternative Burger.

The burger includes a vegan bun smeared with Zocchi’s sauce recipe, made up of vegan mayonnaise, tomato sauce, Dijon mustard, gherkin relish and sriracha. The burger is then topped with grilled onions, fresh pickles, lettuce, tomato and complemented with the Alternative Meat Co. patty grilled with melted vegan cheese.

“We’ve been waiting to launch the right plant-based burger range in our venues. Plus, being an Australian made product, it aligns with the Huxtaburger brand perfectly. The Alternative options will be available on the Huxtaburger menu indefinitely, so our flexitarian and vegan Huxtamers always have an epic, quality burger option,” Huxtaburger chef and co-founder Daniel Wilson added.

The limited-edition Alternative Burger will be available to try in-store exclusively at Huxtaburger outlets until the end of June.
