Hungry Jack's launches ‘Bursties' frozen drinks range
The chain looks to reach more teens and young adults.
Hungry Jack’s has launched a new frozen drink range, featuring bursting bubbles of lemon, orange and strawberry fruit flavours.
Customers can order a large Bursties Frozen Drink for $2, with the option to combine flavours and add additional Bursties for $1.
Targeting teens and young adults, Hungry Jack’s touts the Bursties as “visually stunning”, rivalling bubble tea and “colourful drink trends on social media.”
The 440-store fast food chain also created a trio of Bursties-themed Snapchat face lens to complement the launch.
“A sensory encounter is the only way to describe this new beverage category,” Hungry Jack’s chief marketing officer Scott Baird said in a media release.
The chain says similar techniques in molecular gastronomy were used to create the Bursties, which also have a gluten-free coating.
