Frosty Boy plans to expand beverage range to meet consumer trends

The Art of Blend series comes out with a new product and is set for further expansion in the coming months, the brand said.

Frosty Boy CEO Dirk Pretorius said, “We want our customers to succeed through our products. Our service includes working with each customer to help them use our products to increase profit through creating innovative menu options that follow consumer trends.”

The planned expansion will cater to ongoing trends in foodservice consumption. According to in market research and studies from Euromonitor, Mintel, and Innova Market, beverages remain central to a successful business strategy.

“They appeal to consumers at both ends of the income spectrum and drive traffic throughout the day during meals and snacking dayparts,” the company said.

“Consumers want variety in products and flavours. In foodservice, traffic flows to those operators able to provide customers with the right combination of drink options, in terms of breadth, depth and dayparts.”

Eighty percent of Frosty Boy’s current opportunities in Australia came from its beverage bases, with a strong response from the launch of the new range, Pretorius said.

“Developing The Art of Blend was a good opportunity for us to further immerse the company in the beverage industry and has proven to be a successful decision,” he said.

“Since we launched The Art of Blend, which includes eight versatile powder bases, we have managed to win new business in the hospitality, retail and catering sectors.”

Further research claimed that even as the new generation is less brand-loyal, they still want to try new things, urging brands to develop more innovations.

The range, launched in 2014, came in eight versatile beverage blends in powder form; Aromatic Spiced Chai, Creative Yoghurt Smoothie, Finest Belgian Chocolate, Decadent Milk Chocolate, Exquisite White Chocolate, Premium Mocha Latte, Velvet Dairy Frappe Base and Original Iced Coffee.​
