
Donut King unveils 'Mini' donuts
The brand launched three new, made to order miniature donuts.
The ‘Minis’ are filled with Salted Caramel, Choc-Hazelnut and Strawberry flavours.
Donut King Managing Director Nicholas Brill said the new products were inspired by current market trends and consumer expectations.
“The industry is always evolving, as a brand we are constantly innovating and creating new products that fit with the changing food and treat trends,” he said.
“Minis offer a point of differentiation for the Donut King brand, as we can provide customers with donuts that are made to order and served warm. The current market is going through a ‘donut renaissance’ and we’re finding the mega-size has been done –consumers are wanting bite-sized treats, so now it’s time for the Minis to roll into market.”
Brill said that when Donut King was creating the new flavours, considerations for consumer trends were taken and a trial was conducted with people who know the donut industry.
“Sales results from the first week in market have revealed Strawberry Minis to be the most popular flavour,” Brill said.
“We encourage customers to have fun with our flavours, be adventurous and try all three flavours. Are you the friendly Choc-Hazelnut, classic Strawberry or solitary Salted Caramel?”
