Mad Mex Nutritional Calculator attracts thousands of customers to its website

Mad Mex website and mobile site have attracted more than 10,000 unique visitors, with the nutritional calculator being utilised over 3,000 times.

In an effort to educate customers on the nutritional and health benefits of fresh Mexican food, Mad Mex launched an online and mobile Nutritional Calculator in December 2010.

Via an interactive screen, users can obtain full nutritional information for their meal according to item, fillings, salsa and extras and users can share the calculator via Twitter and Facebook with a simple click. The Mad Mex Nutritional Calculator can be found at www.madmex.com.au/nutrition.

Mad Mex has a strong presence in social media with more than 1,700 “Like” fans on Facebook and 680 followers on Twitter. Social media played a significant role in sharing information about the launch of the calculator, particularly for the mobile site where 74.4% of hits were unique visitors.

Clovis Young, founder Mad Mex states "When we designed the Mad Mex Nutritional Calculator, our goal was to give customers the tools they needed to make informed choices. These strong results tell us that not only is there is a demand for nutritional information, but also that our customers want them accessible in a way that's easy to use and available at their fingertips."
