Find out what 3 things the new Pizza Hut app can offer

See what new features it boasts.

Pizza Hut recently debuted their new app for smart phone users. The brand launched a brand new app for Android users, while at the same time, updated their current app for iPhone users to provide a better ordering experience for their customers.

Below is a Q&A with Brad Richter, Pizza Hut Australia Marketing Manager.

QSR Media: What modifications were done on the new Pizza Hut app, and what's unique about it?

Richter: Pizza Hut has recently released a brand new Android Pizza Hut app, as well as updating its current iPhone Pizza Hut app.

With the release of the Android app and the update to the iPhone app, three major modifications have been made: the ability for consumers to utilise Pizza Hut coupons when ordering through the apps; accessing Pizza Hut’s great everyday Meal Deals through the apps; and finally, but most importantly, significant performance improvements were made, speeding up the ordering process.

QSR Media: What challenges were encountered during the development of this app?

Richter: The number of simultaneous projects was our major challenge, as we were developing and releasing a big performance update for our website, updated iPhone app, new Android and Windows 8 apps as well as a mobile ordering website all within weeks and sometimes days of each other.

That said we are seeing some great results on digital at the moment due to so many improvements being made at once.

QSR Media: What can this app offer to smart phone users?

Richter: A full-featured, fast and simple pizza ordering experience

QSR Media: Is this an area that the brand hopes to further develop in the near future?

Richter: Pizza Hut is always looking at ways of improving the consumer experience, whether that’s through improved digital ordering capabilities, the best tasting pizzas or limited time offers such as the current Hot Dog Stuffed Crust.

Mobile and digital in general are huge growth areas in e-commerce and even more so for pizza ordering.

We are continuously reviewing and updating our apps, from slight tweaks to constantly improving the customer experience right through to investigating and developing major updates. Watch this space

QSR Media: Any additional comments?

Richter: Pizza Hut now offers consumers a wide range of touch points in which to order their product, whether you are utilising an iPhone, Android Phone or Windows phone, Pizza Hut has you covered.

These apps combined with Pizza Hut’s current online ordering webpage and the recently updated mobile ordering page, enables consumers to order our delicious pizza’s from any device at any time!
