Aussies prefer gourmet pizza: survey
Pizza Capers has the most satisfied pizza customers in the country, according to an independent consumer survey released this week.
The survey has revealed more Australians are opting for a slice of luxury, with Pizza Capers beating competitors Eagle Boys, Dominos, Crust and Pizza Hut for the most satisfied customers in the categories of overall satisfaction, taste, service and other menu options.
Australians are also more health conscious, with one in three of the customers surveyed choosing the healthier options on take-away pizza menus.
More than 2500 Australians participated in the independent consumer survey, which was commissioned by Canstar Blue, a new initiative of CANSTAR CANNEX. Professional market researchers Colmar Brunton conducted the survey over a period of 12 months.
“It’s a fantastic result and a clear indicator that more Australians are looking for quality when buying takeaway pizza,” Pizza Capers co-founder Scott Geiszler said.
“It’s also further evidence that the glitzy marketing and advertising campaigns employed by some of our competitors cannot compete with down-to-earth, honest, wholesome food. Our customers know what they want and we make sure we deliver it.
“At Pizza Capers, we are proud to offer the freshest toppings on our pizzas. We believe that our customers deserve to have restaurant-quality food that is delicious, quick and easy.”
Mr Geiszler said Pizza Capers had also introduced a 97 per cent fat-free pizza and pasta menu last year, which had been well-received by customers.
CANSTAR CANNEX’s Head of Research Steve Mickenbecker said Canstar Blue had been launched to give Australians a free online resource to help them with their purchasing decisions.
“Our first pizza survey showed Australian consumers don’t mind paying extra for a gourmet experience when it comes to their fast food of choice,” he said.
